Yummy recipe for rice cooker. No rice cooker? I’ve got you covered, too.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups long grain white rice
- 1/2 stick butter
- 3 chicken bouillon cubes (or one large, Knorrs)
- Garlic powder
- Bijol, a sprinkle or one packet of Sazon Goya
- 1 Tbsp minced onions
- 1 Tbsp dried parsley
- Salt/pepper to taste
- 1 cup water
In a small saucepan, melt butter. Add bouillon, garlic, Bijol, onions and water. Combine until bouillon is dissolved, then pour into rice cooker. Add more water as needed. Add salt, pepper. Cook in rice cooker. Fluff with a fork. You can sprinkle in a little bit of Parmesan cheese before serving. Mix well.
No Rice Cooker Method
This recipe can easily be made on the stove. You’ll need a medium sized saucepan with a tight fitting lid. Follow the same directions as above, but add the SAME amount of water as you do of rice. 4 cups of rice means you add 4 cups of water to the saucepan. Bring to a boil and then cover and lower the heat to low. The rice should take about 20 minutes to cook. Fluff with a fork and sprinkle in Parmesan cheese before serving.
